Cartagena Bachelor Party by Group Size: 6 to 20+ People

In short: group size does not change what you do, it changes which house and which boat make sense — and the per-person price. These are the three configurations that come up most often, and what each one carries. They are starting points, not fixed packages.

Why the headcount decides almost everything

In Cartagena you pay per unit, not per person: the house costs the same for 8 as for 16, same with the boat, same with the van. That has two consequences worth understanding before you ask for numbers:

  • Every person who joins makes the trip cheaper for everyone else. The opposite of a per-person package.
  • The group defines the piece, not the other way round. You do not pick a 20-person mansion and then look for people: you count the people and the right house and vessel follow.

Groups of 6 to 9

What fits: a mid-size house or villa in the historic center or Getsemaní, a speedboat for the island day (up to 10-12 people), one chef dinner at the house, private transport and a host on some days.

What to know: this is where the per-person price is highest, because the house and the boat cost the same as they would for twice the group. If the group can grow to 10-12, the jump in quality for the same money per head is large. It is the honest conversation we have with every group this size.

Groups of 10 to 13

What fits: a mid-to-high or high-end villa, a large sport boat (38′–46′) or a catamaran if you want more shade and space, one or two chef dinners, a host, transport, and night security if the house sits in a noisy block.

What to know: this is where it genuinely starts to pay off. It is the size of the two middle scenarios we publish in the price table: roughly 690 and 1,025 USD per person depending on nights and level, without flights.

Groups of 14 to 20

What fits: a historic-center mansion (14-20 pax), a catamaran or a yacht with cabins, two chef dinners, a host every day, security and van transport. This is the configuration of the top scenario we publish.

What to know: best value per person, but the least room to manoeuvre on dates: there are few 16-20 person houses in the walled city and they are the first to go. For December and Holy Week, this group books months ahead.

More than 20 people

We do it, but the logistics change: two houses close together or one large mansion, two vessels, and a host for the whole trip rather than selected days. The hard part is not the price, it is the coordination — past 20 people, transfers and restaurant bookings stop being a detail.

What does not change with size

The booking order is always the same: house first, then boat, then tables and restaurants. It is laid out day by day in the 3, 4 and 5-night itinerary. And the way you pay does not change either: deposit and balance against a company invoice, never 100 percent upfront — the detail is in how payment works.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good group size for a Cartagena bachelor party?

Between 12 and 16. From 12 the per-person price drops sharply because the house and the boat are already paid for, and under 20 the whole group still fits in one house and one boat without splitting.

Do you take groups of 6?

Yes, from 6 people. Worth knowing: at that size the house and the boat cost the same as for 12, so the per-person price climbs. For 6 or 8, a smaller house and a speedboat instead of a catamaran usually makes more sense.

What if we are more than 20?

It works, but the logistics change: normally two houses close together or one large mansion, and two vessels. Past that point you need a host for the whole trip, not just some days.

What exactly is included in each configuration?

The ones on this page are reference configurations, not fixed packages. Your quote is built from the pieces you want and comes itemized per unit, with what is included and what is not.

Does the per-person price drop if we add people?

Yes, and it is the most important rule of this destination: the house, the boat and the van are charged per unit. Every person who joins spreads the same cost across more heads.
